Usually, the root issue of such cases may lie in the lack of integration between systems or databases, which directly impacts the user experience. To maintain user satisfaction, public services must be designed to be smart, user-centric, and responsive, an approach that is now central to improving government service delivery.
This challenge of disconnected systems is equally relevant in the education sector. Integration is increasingly featured in policy discussions as a strategy to minimize transitions between systems and databases, while accelerating reporting for policymakers and end users within an educational system. The practice of integration is closely tied to increasing the transparency and accountability of processes that form the pipeline of both student and assessment-related data, ultimately contributing to the efficiency of evidence-based practices.
While integration in education can take many forms, it is often associated with the blending of learning and assessment, or with integrated learning environments where subject principles overlap across disciplines.
