ANAND KARAT

President and CEO

Anand leads Vretta’s entrepreneurial culture and sets the strategic direction of the company. He ensures undivided focus on our vision to support student-success through his unique innovatively now leadership style. He is the founding partner of Vretta and has an Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from Bangalore University and an MBA in Science and Technology from Queen’s University.

CHARLES ANIFOWOSE

Vice President of Innovation

Charles leads the architectural product design and development processes at Vretta. He ensures unparalleled innovation in learning and assessment experiences for student success. He is the co-founder of Vretta, has invented numerous technology solutions, and has a Bachelor’s degree from Brock University.

ALI ALAVI

Product Director

Ali leads product design to ensure that every user has a truly meaningful and amazing learning and assessment experience. He has a Bachelor’s degree of Science from the University of Waterloo and over a decade of experience leading product design and development teams.

ARBANA MIFTARI

Director of Project Management

Arbana leads the management of projects, change, and stakeholder engagement for the development of new products. She ensures products are delivered on time and with world-class quality. She has a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies from Western University, and is a certified Project Management Professional and an Agile Certified Practitioner from the Project Management Institute.

ZACH WILLIAMS

Director of Technology

Zach leads the development and maintenance of technology solutions and security systems. He ensures the use of best practices in process efficiencies, developing scalable solutions, and maintaining high-security systems. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Queen’s University and over a decade of experience working with systems of varying sizes and complexities.

ANGELICA MENDAGLIO

Head of Instructional Design

Angelica leads the instructional design and development of learning and assessment resources. She ensures intuitive product design and seamless user experiences for our learning and assessment solutions. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Cultural Studies from Trent University and a Master of Science in Mathematics from McMaster University.

Jimmy de la Torre

Lead Psychometrician

Jimmy supports our team of assessment specialists and psychometricians by providing guidance on technical and implementation issues related to educational measurement. His expertise is in the areas of item response theory, cognitive diagnosis modeling, and designing and using assessment to inform instruction and learning, and he has published widely on these topics. Jimmy has a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is currently Professor and Head of the Human Communication, Development, and Information Sciences Unit of the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong.

JACOB PUCAR

Head of Customer Success

Jacob leads customer success through his unwavering focus on thoroughly understanding the needs of all users and ensuring they gain immense value from the use of our products and services. Through an established customer-centric approach, he ensures that he gathers ongoing feedback from users to identify ways to support the constant evolution of experience of all users. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from McMaster University.

HARSHA VARLANI

President of Vretta-Lyryx

Harsha drives the strategic vision of Vretta-Lyryx with a deep commitment to excellence and student success in higher education. She leads her team by example, and her ability to inspire and empower them has fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Applications.
