Vretta Inc. (“Vretta”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and its affiliated entities provide their services and products to you subject to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using Vretta’s website (“site”) as they contain the legal terms that govern your use of the site. By accessing or using the site, you agree, without limitation, to be bound by all the provisions contained herein.


If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, you may not use the site. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time and without notice. Please check periodically for any modifications. Your continued use of the site following the posting of any modifications to these Terms and Conditions will mean you accept the implemented changes.


Ownership


All content on the site including designs, logos, text, graphics, pictures, software, artwork, video, sound and other files are the property of Vretta and protected by copyright, trade-mark, and intellectual property laws. Users are granted absolutely no rights or licenses to the site other than the limited right to use the site in accordance with the Terms and Conditions specified herein.


Terms of Use


Users are permitted to download or print a copy of any portion of the site’s content to which they have properly gained access, but solely for their personal, non-commercial use. In doing so, users must abide by all copyright and other proprietary notices.


Users shall not, without Vretta’s prior written permission modify, distribute, republish, repost, transmit or otherwise exploit any of the content maintained on this site for commercial purposes. Further, users may not frame the site or any part thereof on any internet website.


User Access to e-Learning Programs


Once a user has purchased Vretta’s e-learning program(s), they will be granted a license to access and utilize the learning materials. This license cannot be transferred and can only be used by one user. Vretta retains the title and other proprietary rights in relation to any content maintained on its site.


Termination of User License


A license is only valid for a limited period of time. The time period that the license is valid for will be specified at the time of the purchase. Vretta reserves the right to terminate the license if the user violates any of the Terms and Conditions specified herein.


User Content Posted on the Site


Users may have an ability to upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content in the public area(s) of the site, such as a chat-room or a discussion forum. Such postings express the views of the author and Vretta is under no obligation to screen, review or delete posted material prior to it becoming visible to other users. Vretta has no control over and is not liable for the content of any material posted by users.


The materials that users wish to post on the site shall not:


  • infringe any copyright or other proprietary notices;
  • contain any viruses or other contaminating components;
  • violate these Terms and Conditions or the Privacy Statement;
  • be offensive, illegal or infringe the rights of others; and
  • solicit unlawful conduct or constitute commercial solicitation.

Vretta reserves the right to review the site and may edit, delete, or remove any user posted content, at any time and without notice, if it violates, pursuant to Vretta’s sole judgment, any of the provisions outlined in these Terms and Conditions.


Indemnification


You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Vretta, its Board of Directors, officers, affiliates, employees and agents from and against any loss, liability, claim, demand, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with any user posted content, your use of the site, your conduct in connection with the site, or your breach of any of the Terms and Conditions.


General Provision


The above stated Terms and Conditions represent a binding agreement between you and Vretta, which relates to your use of the site and other products and services offered by Vretta.


Please note that our failure to enforce strict performance of any provision of these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of such provision. If any provision of this agreement is deemed void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and the remainder of the agreement shall continue to be in full force and effect.

Vretta Inc. (“Vretta”, “we”, “us” or “our”) values your privacy. We are committed to protecting your personal information whether you are engaging in e-learning, conducting business with us electronically, or simply browsing for information. As such, Vretta has developed this Privacy Statement in order for you to understand how we collect, communicate, disclose and make use of your personal information. Vretta strongly adheres to the principles outlined in Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. F.31 as well as Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, S.C. 2000, c. 5.


This Privacy Statement applies to all users with whom Vretta interacts in the course of its business, including international users and minors.


General Provision


We will collect and use your personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us.


We undertake to collect your personal information solely by lawful and fair means.


We will not share your personal information with any third parties, except as necessary to provide you with the services and products you have requested or to comply with the law.


We will not sell or rent our mailing list.


What Personal Information Will Vretta Collect?


Vretta may collect personal information such as your full name, email address, course related information (college, professor’s name, course section number) and your personal inquiries regarding our e-learning programs, products or services.


Vretta does not collect your financial information required to process your order, such as your credit card number. Any such information will be collected through a third party payment system. Their use of your financial data will be strictly limited for the purposes of processing the financial transaction for your purchase.


What Other Information Will Vretta Collect?


Vretta may collect other information that is non-personal, such as the type of Internet Browser you are using and your IP address. This information is collected in order to allow Vretta to efficiently resolve any technical problems that users may encounter.


Disclosure of Your Personal Information


Vretta will disclose your personal information to third parties under the following circumstances:


  • When a dispute arises over fees and we are taking legal action to collect the fees owing to us
  • When we are required or permitted to do so by law
  • When we retain a third party to provide support to us, such as technical support and system maintenance services
  • When we have your consent

In certain situations, Vretta may disclose your personal information for other purposes. We undertake to notify you of any such purposes prior to collecting the required information.


Retention of Information


Vretta will retain your personal and non-personal information only for the period of time that is necessary under the circumstances or required by law. If and when your information is no longer required for the purposes specified by us, we will delete your information.


Sharing of Information


At times, Vretta is required to share your personal information with its affiliated entities that help Vretta provide the service or products you have requested. All such affiliated entities are strictly bound by this Privacy Statement and will adhere to the same level of privacy protection as we do.


Certain personal information becomes public when you voluntarily post it in the public area(s) of the website, such as a chat-room or a discussion forum. Public information is not protected by this Privacy Statement. All messages and comments posted in the public area(s) of the website express the views of the author and Vretta shall not be held accountable for the content of any such message or comment. We do not control and are not responsible for the information that users may post, transmit or share on the website.


Security of Information


Vretta strives to ensure that your personal information is stored securely. We are committed to protecting your information by utilizing reasonable security safeguards against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, unauthorized use or modification. However, we do not guarantee that our security safeguards will never fail. As such, Vretta will have no liability to you or to any third party in the event that a loss, misuse, destruction, or alternation of your personal information shall occur.

Our website contains links to other websites (“third party sites”), which are not covered under this Privacy Statement. Vretta does not provide any representation or warranty with respect to third party sites. Vretta does not endorse third party sites and is not liable or otherwise responsible for the data collection procedures implemented by third parties.

You may obtain access to any personally identifiable information relating to you that we have on file by submitting a formal request to us at privacy@vretta.com


You can help us maintain the accuracy of your personal information by notifying us of any changes to your information.


Subscription Purchases


All purchases of access codes made on this website represent prepayments of semester-long subscriptions to our content. Should you purchase an access code and later decide to cancel that purchase, a prorated refund will be provided based on your usage of the site. Usage is determined by the greater of days on the system divided by the total number of days in the access period, portion of available lessons accessed, and portion of tests completed. You may be removed from our system wihtout notice upon losing access through refund or exhaustion of your access period (generally 4 months unless otherwise specified). All refunds are subject to a 5% administrative fee.


Your Consent


By providing your personal information to Vretta you authorize us to collect, use and disclose such information in accordance with this Privacy Statement and as required by law. Please note that our Privacy Statement may be changed from time to time and without notice. It is your responsibility to review the Privacy Statement each time you use our website.
