Anand’s
engineering and business background coupled with his experience in establishing and leading organizations internationally for over 12 years has given him the expertise in leading Vretta’s highly creative teams to achieve their vision of inspiring and empowering every learner in the world.
He has developed and executed unique nation-wide product launches in various industry sectors including the air force, railways, telecommunications, retail, and education sector, resulting in the rapid growth of organizations to industry leaders. Anand is the driving force behind the transformational adoption of Cloud Learning in the training and learning landscape in corporations and academic institutions. He also passionately serves the community through Vretta’s Foundation initiatives such as Design for Change and SECOND to Learn.
Scott Duncan, B.Sc.
Vice President – Marketing

years of selling and marketing educational technology and training products has given Scott the invaluable experience and foresight to be a leading change driver in the education industry. His experience includes establishing robust systems in organizations to encourage and stimulate the use of new media in training and education, bringing new products, new companies, and new technologies to market and executing worldwide sales, marketing, and branding strategies to propel leading products to growth. Scott has worked in many senior executive positions at multinational education companies, education simulation software companies, e-learning companies, and academic institutions. When Scott takes a break from executing his unique market entry strategies, you can find him skimming through his collection of antiquarian books, playing his harmonica or teeing off on a course.
Charles Anifowose, B.A
Director of New Media
Charles
believes that new media is more than just a set of tools – it’s the attitude that you bring to it. He is a passionate techno junkie who has been leading Vretta’s new media team from its date of inception and has designed and developed numerous games, e-learning courses, training programs, advertisements and short films for leading Canadian organizations and academic institutions.
Charles leads a team of highly creative artists, designers, developers, and animators who are instrumental in creating Vretta’s immersive learning tools and platforms that deliver Cloud Learning solutions for corporations and academic institutions. When not in the studio, you might catch him enjoying the scene in Toronto’s vibrant artistic community.
Myron Luis, B.Comm., MPM
Director of Partnerships & Alliances
Myron
has 11 years of senior leadership, management consulting, and entrepreneurial experience managing business change and working partnerships at Fortune 500 organizations including American Express, Accenture, Centrica UK, and Bank of America. He has leveraged his strong academic background in business, project management and technical management to establish, lead, and advice many entrepreneurial organizations including Commonvision and Skydive Toronto.
His philanthropic work with organizations such as the Live-Strong Foundation, Design for Change and Toronto Board of Trade, has positioned him as a trusted advisor, strategist and change advocate. Myron equates his extracurricular activities like a mathematical equation “Ironman × Skydiving = Earth + Wind + Water!”
Anita Joshua, B.Comm., M.A
Executive Editor
Anita’s
strong academic background in English language. Her experience as a post-graduate professor of English literature coupled with her editorship for over 12 years at leading publishing and e-learning companies internationally has given her the expertise to lead the developmental and editorial teams at Vretta. Besides writing short stories, poems, developing content for training programs and being a featured writer for articles, publications, journals and columns for leading news papers, she indulges in the art of ceramics!
Her extensive project management experience collaborating between various stakeholders such as authors, subject matter specialists and industry experts have been crucial in bringing Vretta’s innovative courses to the market.
Alex Santiago, B.Sc., M.Sc., MBA
Executive Director (Vretta Foundation)
Alex’s
strong business experience and passion towards serving the community through numerous social initiatives, such as the tsunami relief operations, have given him the incredible acumen to drive Vretta’s Foundation.
He is instrumental in establishing and driving Vretta’s key initiative – SECOND to Learn. In this initiative, for every course that is sold to a student, one needy child in a developing or underdeveloped nation will receive free educational resources for one year. Besides learning their particular academic subject, students learn a second set of values which include a moral responsibility for the advancement of all people in the world. Students also receive an information package on the child whose life they have positively impacted.
